I have sat here staring at my screen for what feels like eons. Trying to compose words of magic to describe this little girl. But I can't do it. Words are not adequate at this time.  Only the smiles that grace these photographs can begin to help you understand her impact on the world and the perfection of God.

When we took these pictures, Tiff was about 25 lbs. Her hands are so tiny.

Austin + Rochelle: Wedding

This wedding was an experience of   beauty, joy, and emotion.  Of any bride I've had, I connected with her   on a level that is more intense and beautiful than I think I ever want   to connect with another bride. 

About six months ago, Rochelle's mom passed away after a ferocious fight of cancer. She went to my same H.S. and knew of my tragedy my junior year. With this common connection we both knew we needed each other. She needed me to capture the emotion and the happiness of the day, and I? I needed her to remember how when loved ones leave this earth they are not gone forever, only temporarily missing.

this is so serene to me...

After the temple we went to the Bungalow. I had never been there before, but I must say I totally fell in love with it!

My favorite element of the wedding was her bouquet. First off it was just adorable, and two, she has an inside joke with her mom about butterflies and in her bouquet sat perfectly placed a butterfly. totally precious.

does anyone realize how hard it is to take pictures when your eyes are soaked with tears???

Wanna know something that I LURVVVE about my job? Well it is interacting with LOVE! Its so inspiring, beautiful, gentle, and all the above! 

Each couple I shoot brings something different and unique. The thing that made me tickled pink with these two, was their ability to find the others hand always! No matter what pose they were in, their fingers were to be found interlocked and connected to one another. It was quite endearing and adorable if I do say so myself!

OH BLISSFULNESS!

I don't think there is a more fun couple on the planet. I met these two for the first time as they came out of the temple (not the norm) and I could not have fallen more in love with them. Their whole wedding party was pee your pants funny.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm working or living a dream? I guess they should go hand in hand, right?

I get all watery-eyed when couples come out. Don't hate. It makes me feel joyously happy!

Right now I am in the middle of going through BIG business changes. Without sounding too whiney... It's KICKING my BOOTY! Yesterday, after I got done doing an AWESOME photo shoot(and when I say awesome, I MEAN IT.) I had LOTS of business to attend to. And can I tell you everything that could go wrong did! 

After throwing a minor fit and complaining to my man, Robbie took me home, laid me in bed, brought me a cup of hot herbal tea, and gave me a massage... How lucky am I?

Anywho... once I got my day going today, I was terrified to get back to work. I didn't want all the drama from the previous night. I have had three clients waiting for me to upload their pictures to my proofing site, but it has been broken. I feared when I opened my e-mail today, I would have a bunch of hate notes! But guess what!?! NO HATE NOTES! Only notes of LOVE! Here are the two notes that were awaiting me in my inbox this morning. . .  

Thanks for your hard work in trying to put these together! Sorry it hasn't been working too well for you. I definitely agree that when computer's don't do what you want them to do it is so very frustrating. :)
But if you're still having problems just let us know if it is easier to come meet with you later this week/weekend or whatever works best. Whatever will lighten your load.
Thanks again for doing these Jess! I am so excited to see how they turn out. I had so much fun on Saturday and thanks for making us feel like a million bucks! You have pure talent my dear!

I just took a WAY cool color test. It tests your eye to see how well you can arrange the color hues! I sit in front of a computer all day messing around with color. So when I started the test I was worried that I was going to SUCK it up. But I didn't:) I got a 3... With 0 being PERFECT. Take the test and let me know what you get....

I always get a little teary eyed when couples come out of the temple. I think its so special:)

FUN, AMAZING, ENCHANTING does not begin to describe this wedding. I loved everything about it. Andrew and Jody are to DIE for. They love each other so much and their love radiates from each of them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart letting me do your wedding!

You guys will never fully understand HOW cold it was that day. No joke, it felt like knives were going through my cheeks. I think the high that day was 20 degrees. THE HIGH. Jody was a STALLION out in the weather. You can't even tell through these pics how cold it was.

Sunshine in my Soul

Winter's in Utah are quite hard for me. They are dry, cold, and dark. My body needs its good ol' vitamin D. And this dreaded season doesn't provide the adequate amount my soul requires.

The other day, I noticed that the sun was shining so bright. He was calling to me. Beckoning me to enjoy his warm rays. So as you can imagine, I gave into his taunting calls.

It was Me, my camera, and the Sun... We are BFFA's (best friends forever AHHHHHHHHH!) so we had a grand old time walking around my yard taking pictures and soaking up his rays. Take a look.

When I saw this little leaf, he was blowing in the breeze, and he looked as though he was trying to hold on for dear life. I think this picture is a good adaptation of how the winter makes me feel. Just holding on for dear life til I weather the season.

The last two are my very favorites. It was a leaf that was frozen under a baby pool. Hence the blue background.

I used to be a rockin softball player. Did you know that? Well I was:) And so was Shea. That's how we met. We got schooled by almost every team back in the day. Though we lost, and losing is a very depressing feeling a beautiful friendship formed between us.

She is marrying Kyle. She waited for him while he served his mission. And six months before he came home.... She left on one. Then Kyle waited for her. Physically they were separated for 3 years, but they sure weren't emotionally and spiritually. Just take a look at their connection!

Ya know those computers nerds who are totally socially awkward, and can only feel comfortable in public settings talking about computers.

Well I have turned into one... Just not a computer nerd,

I'm a photography nerd!

Literally! Want some proof? When my friends want to get together and hangout, instead of going to a movie or lunch, we do photoshoot's. Why? I feel like I wouldn't be able to carry on normal conversations with people! How could I when my thoughts 24/7 are filled with white balance, or perfect light, or photoshop! WOW!

November 2004: I had just turned to 16. It was my first High School dance. Everything I had been waiting my whole life for! YIPEE SKIPPY! It happened to be a girls choice, a formal dance. Preference. I asked Andrew with a carved pumpkin, candy, and an oh so cheesy poem.... He said yes, with balloons and ice-cream (he actually went to door bell ditch my door to answer yes, but I walked out on the porched right as he was getting ready to ring the bell. Talk about AWKWARD.... :) The dance was a great one. Among one of my favs for my High School career. Why? Because Andrew is just the nicest kid around. A total gentleman with a great sense of humor.

And if its possible, he has found someone even nicer, and more amazing than him. He and Lisa are perfect for eachother. You can tell by their engagements. Look....

We caught the last few rays of the sun. I love the beautiful glow that happens during that time of day. Its mmmmm.......very delicious.

If you have been one of my clients, you already know that I am not the most graceful person in the world.

Whether Im standing on a tree, couch, chair, or my own two feet you can almost guarantee I will fall on my face during your shoot.
Most of the time its because I am trying to get a sweet awesome shot, or a really cool angle, or just something to make the picture totally SAWEET.

Well not this time. No cool story to go with this battle wound. All that was involved was me, an "invisible" barb wire fence, and my radical graceful feet.

That's my thigh. And that's a GNARLY bruise.
.....yeah laugh it up.

Though my bruise may be wicked, the pictures that happened during that shoot were oh so magical.

Look how enchanting the wind made the next few pictures look....

I mentioned in the title that it was cold...It was so cold I could not feel any part on my body (except the throbbing of my thigh) and I was in long johns, pants, gloves, coat, socks and shoes. So you try to imagine what this bride had to endure to create these images.

This last image BLOWS my mind away. It was like the second to the last shot of the day, and everyone officially an ice cube. But something came over Staci and she decided to produce this face for me....

WHAT! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YEAH IN NEGATIVE MILLION DEGREE WEATHER. SHE PRODUCED THAT FACE. Hats off to you my dear.

I did these awhile ago, but they must be shared. This family is a gem. The two little girls are beautiful, and just have an awesome spirits, the middle boy is the cutest pre missionary ever, and the youngest, Jack? Well lets just say he owns every heart in that family.

I think this one is my favorite... I don't though. How do you pick a favorite with a family that looks like this?

I went to H.S. with these two lovely birds... Well I guess just Eric. Dude this kid was a nut. Ya know the kind of nut that shows up to a freezing cold football game in booty shorts or would dance like a crazy person at stag dances... HEY! Flash back.... Mine and Eric's junior we were both runners up for prom king and queen. haha. I totally forgot about the... Anywho.... Although Eric maybe a nut he has chosen the best companion. I adore Hayley. And together they are just two lovely dove birds sitting in a tree.

Lifes Lessons

Happy Birthday to me! (well I guess its tomorrow, but my hubby has planned the whole day so I won't be getting on the computer:)) I got to thinking how I will be 22 and all the fabulous years I have had to learn and grow. I was at work one day (so maybe I was, or maybe I wasn't doing my job) , and I started writing a list of 22 life lessons I have learned or am still learning. It was pretty rad to write these truths on paper and see how each lesson has shaped and molded my life in one way or another. Behind every one of these learned truths is an experience or a story that I would never take back. I hope you enjoy, and I hope this provokes some thought about your life and things you have learned during this great journey of life!

1.Submitting to life and situations is the only way for me to enjoy the good, the bad, and the ugly.

2. Men and Women are COMPLETELY different

3. The most important of all the most important decisions is who you marry.

4. There is FAR more good in the world than bad... You just have to search for it.

5. Best book of all time.... Les Miserable.

6. Mitt Romney is the Man.

7. My husband is even a cooler man.

8. Life does not end when a loved one dies.

9. Trying to be perfect is WAAAYY overrated.

10. Shopping cures a bad day. (My Robbie read this list before I posted it, and he agreed with all my lessons, except this one.... I guess he will just keep having bad days till he learns this lesson:))

11. Having faith and devotion in a higher power makes everything make sense.

12. Trying to Balance life sucks! Between serving others, homework, church callings, spending time with loved ones, relaxing, spiritual time, working, cleaning, and getting 8-10 hours of sleep every night.... Who in their right mind expects all that to get done in 24 hours??

13. Seinfeld is perhaps the best T.V. show of all time.

14. I have the greatest parents/step mom on the planet.

15. Losing my mom was the hardest thing of my life.

16. Giving up two years of your life to serve in a cause you know will change the world is the most noble thing you can do.

17. People who have different views and ideas are the people I want to be friends with.

18. To have unconditional love for a person is the ONLY way to get them to change.

19. After being a Pre-School teacher, I now know why we are commanded to become as little children.

20. Chasing my dream to be a photographer has been the most rewarding experience of my life.

21. Losing weight is freaking hard!

22. Being married to my best friend makes my life totally ROCK!

Sometimes when you are waiting in a parking lot for your peeps to show up you can get pretty bored... Oh not me. I had my camera with me and entertained myself by taking pictures of yours truly. I know pathetic?

Okay but now the real point. Megan was the girl I was waiting for. And oh was she worth wait! I knew from the second she e-mailed me I was going to like her. She was so witty and real in her e-mails we corresponded back and forth to each other. I knew she was my kind of girl! Enjoy!

When I was a little girl I always fantasized about my knight in shinning armor. He was going to be strong, tall, dark, spiritual, funny, all the good things a girl wants. Now after being married for over 2 years. I never even imagined the man I would be bless with. All my girly dreams have come true and more!

Right now as I am writing, Wobbie Man (aka Robbie) is at the grocery store. He went with out me so I could stay and edit and continue making my dreams come true.....

What does one do when she has a day off?

Well she attends lunch with her girlifriends and sits in Zupas for 4 hours and then gets delicicousness at Maggie Moos (cinamoo bun and pumpkin ice crem mixed with brownie.)

She then plays with the gummies her hubby suprised her with from his Dental interview to AZ

And then tops the night off dominating her hubby at the one and only classic Ticket to Ride.

(So maybe I won one game and he one the other, but I think it sounds better that I skooled his face)

P.S. Europe Ticket to Ride is WAY better than USA. Its got more of a challenge plus you get to be educated on what Europe looked like in 1809... or something like that. You get to learn and have fun! What a perfect combination!!!

Tonight I was able to take pictures of Ali. She is getting baptized on Saturday. Her beautiful spirit just burst these pictures. Okay so I am kind of computer dumb.... I have been getting complaints that my pics are pixely when people view the pics on their computer on blogger. I upload them from picasa at 1600 pixels and transfer them to blogger. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a trick for clearer pics? I have totally rad actions and I always sharpen with "A Better Web Sharpen." Is there something else I need to do before uploading them? I just don't know. I am facing such a dilemma.
